Missions

Crestwood Christian Church supports 24 separate missions. Some are located in Missouri, some in various parts of the United States and some in foreign countries.

There is a mission bulletin board in the foyer in Mission Cove where information from different missions is posted.

Persons may choose to support one or more missions simply by indicating the name of the mission on their check or offering envelope. All contributions go directly to the missions indicated.

Stateside Missions

American Indian Christian Mission
AICM is located in Show Low, Arizona. Reaching young Native Americans for Christ and equipping their young people to become leaders in the reservations’ churches are primary goals.

American Rehabilitation Ministries
In the early 1970’s, Joe Garman and his wife began a prison outreach for Christ for both men and women – ARM. Since that time, American Rehabilitation Ministries has reached into every corner of the world placing baptistries in over 1,000 prisons and jails and on many mission fields.

Arizona Reservation Ministries
Arizona Reservation Ministries was established in 2002 to provide “God’s ARMs around the reservation.” A.R.M. exists to make disciples of the Native American People, empowering them to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community – the San Carlos Apache Reservation.

Christian Women’s Benevolent Association
This is a 180 bed skilled nursing facility which reaches out to the elderly of the community in Ferguson, Missouri. Its support comes mainly from local churches and individual donations.

Exposing Satan’s Power Ministries
Since 1970 Ben and Miranda Alexander have spoken out publicly against spiritualism. Since that time they have traveled extensively spreading the message through ESP Ministries about the evils of the occult versus the grace and power of Jesus Christ.

Feed My People
Founded in 1982 by John and Carol DeGuire, this local mission reaches out to the less fortunate in the St, Louis area.

High Hill Christian Assembly
High Hill Christian Assembly was founded in 1954 near High Hill, Missouri. Their purpose is to strengthen the faith of young people and adults, equipping and training them for Christian service in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Dorm camping, wilderness camping and weekend retreats are provided to help in reaching their goals.

Military Chaplains
This organization provides help, support and supplies for Protestant chaplains in all branches of the U.S. armed forces.

Mission Services Associations (MSA)
This mission provides several services to individual stateside and foreign missionaries at a reduced cost. Printing, publishing and mailing of newsletters for missionaries are examples of these services.

National Missionary Convention
The NMC is an annual convention of missionaries from around the world and others interested in mission work. The convention is a time where missionaries can fellowship, discuss ideas and mission techniques.

North American Christian Convention
The annual convention is a gathering place for Christians to participate in singing, fellowship, learning in workshops, hear powerful preaching and gather information to improve themselves and churches in the Lord’s work.

Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch
In 1977 Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch was founded. The goal is to provide Christian homes for abused/neglected children, striving to meet the spiritual needs of each child as well as physical, educational and social needs. Shiloh has 6 homes in Kahoka and Clarence, Missouri.

Show-Me Christian Youth Home
Show-Me Christian Youth Home is dedicated to providing a loving, stable Christian home for children with backgrounds of abuse and neglect. Six homes are dedicated to serving these children and showing them Jesus’ love – in LaMonte, Camdenton, El Dorado Springs, Mayview, Sheridan and Barnett, Missouri.

Urban Mission
Scott and Terri Jewell moved to St. Louis in 1999. Scott had committed his life to ministry in the city. They planted their first church, Baden Community Christian Church, and began meeting in a storefront. Their goal is to seek partners to plant churches throughout St. Louis.

Bible Colleges

Ozark Christian College
The mission of Ozark Christian College is to train men and women for Christian service through an undergraduate Bible college education. A main emphasis is given to preparation for preaching ministers and Christian educators.

St. Louis Chrisian College is located in Florissant, Missouri. It is a four-year, accredited Bible college whose mission is to serve the St. Louis community by equipping men and women to impact the world for Christ.

Foreign Missions

ACM International/Carl & Ronalyn Stevens/Philippines
Carl is heading up the aviation program that will serve Philippine Mission Churches of Christ based out of Aparri, Cagayan in Northern Luzon. This ministry serves to transport evangelistic teams to the east coast of Luzon where people are generally unreached with God’s word and also are in need of medical attention.

ACM International/ (African Christian Mission)
Victor   Erica Stevens have as their goals to evangelize and establish a working Christian church in the Rufiji Delta, to help renew community development with economic growth and stability, and to establish ACM International in the country of Tanzania.

AIM American International Ministries/Russia
American International Ministries (AIM) was established by Lowell and Judy Mason in 1988 for the purpose of taking the gospel in song, sermon and scripture across America and around the world. Since that time AIM has assisted in distributing over 4 million Bibles to Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union.

Colegio Biblico
Colegio Biblico is a Bible College whose purpose is to prepare workers for Christian ministry among the Spanish-speaking peoples of the world. There are two campuses – one in Piedras Negras, Mexico and the other is located in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Joyce Freese
Teaching and working with students at the Puerto Rico Christian School is Joyce Freese’s mission. The students are encouraged in Christian learning and living. Their goal is to teach the young Christians to remain strong in their faith.

Lower Caribbean Christian Mission
Missionaries Kelvin and Judy Robinson are the missionaries of Lower Caribbean Christian Mission located on the island of Barbados in the West Indies area of the Caribbean Sea. There are six congregations who work together for special projects and to keep the Christian camp in operation.

Niños de Mexico
The name Niños de Mexico means “Children of Mexico.” The mission started in 1967. They are engaged in the evangelism of Mexico and in extending Christ’s loving care to some of the homeless and abandoned children of Mexico. Four homes are now operated in the Mexico City area where unwanted and abandoned children are cared for while learning about Jesus Christ and His love for them.

Pioneer Bible Translators
The purpose of Pioneer Bible Translators is to disciple the nations by providing scripture in the language of the people. Their desire is to truly “Bring God’s Word to Life” by translating the Bible among people groups worldwide who do not yet have it in their own language.
